In the game of hot potato over jurisdiction in the fee dispute between Boies, Schiller & Flexner and a former client of the firm, New York, apparently, is now “it.”
The New York Law Journal reports that Judge Allan Earl of the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nev., decided on Monday to deny Boies Schiller’s motion for him to appoint an arbitrator in the firm’s litigation against client G.K. Las Vegas Limited Partnership and ceded jurisdiction to New York courts.
