Sandman_James_web It took a year, but the Legal Services Corp. has finally found a new president, according to Am Law Daily sibling publication The National Law Journal: Former Arnold & Porter managing partner James Sandman is taking over the top LSC post from interim president Victor Fortuno.

The nonprofit, which disburses federal funds to legal-service providers that serve low-income clients, had been looking for a new president since Helaine Barnett retired from the job at the end of 2009.
