Two more defendants connected to the Galleon Group hedge fund pled guilty yesterday in Manhattan federal district court, admitting their role in a massive insider trading ring and handing federal prosecutors more ammunition as they prepare for next month’s trial of Galleon founder Raj Rajaratnam.
Former Galleon employees Adam Smith and Michael Cardillo each pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and one count of securities fraud.
