In early December, PepsiCo reached an agreement to pay $3.8 billion for a 66 percent stake in Moscow-based Wimm-Bill-Dann, Russia’s top producer of food and beverages. Last week, The New York Times reported state antitrust authorities approved the deal, and Russia’s largest-ever transaction officially closed on Thursday.

Now, it seems that PepsiCo isn’t finished. The world’s second-largest soft drink maker–which is now the largest snack and beverage company in Russia–PepsiCo announced Thursday that it plans to put in a bid to acquire the balance of Wimm-Bill-Dann by March 11.
