Australian firms Clayton Utz, Allens Arthur Robinson, Mallesons Stephen Jaques and Browne & Co. have advised on a $1.34 billion purchase of the broadcasting rights of the Australian Football League (AFL) for the next five years.
Three Australian businesses including television network Seven Network Australia, paid-subscription television provider Foxtel and telecommunications carrier Telstra Corp. Ltd. have all secured rights to air the AFL games through years 2012 to 2016, with a combined purchasing price of $1.34 billion.
