Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom and DeHeng Law Offices are advising on the re-launch a $1 billion initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by a subsidiary of a Chinese state-owned energy company.

The issuer, Huaneng Renewables Corp., is the wind power unit of China Huaneng Group Corp, one of China’s largest energy producers. It has reduced the size of its offering from the $1.3 billion it had planned to raise last December. The previous launch was cancelled because of market volatility, according to Bloomberg.
