International law firm Mishcon de Reya announced on Monday that it hired former Dorsey & Whitney corporate partner Andrew Rimmington as a partner in the firm’s London office.

Rimmington is one of two new additions to the corporate practice, along with former Appleby global partner Gray Smith. Rimmington joins the firm after spending two years as a consultant to industrial product manufacturer Affinia Group Inc. Prior to that, he was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney, where he practiced from 1998 until the spring of 2009, when the firm terminated him in the wake of insider trading charges brought by the U.K.’s Financial Services Authority (FSA). The FSA brought the charges in May of that year, in connection with Novartis’ 2006 takeover of NeuTec, as LegalWeek reported at the time.
