Mineral-rich Western Australia has been drawing law firms like the region’s Margaret River draws surfers. So far this year, Clifford Chance, Gilbert + Tobin and Moray & Agnew have all opened in Perth, the region’s capital. Now London-based Holman Fenwick Willan, which already has offices in Sydney and Melbourne, is the latest to establish a presence in the country’s commodities capital.

Holman Fenwick’s Perth office will be led by newly recruited litigation partner Julian Sher. His experience includes advising on banking disputes, securities enforcement, and insolvency. He worked at Australian commercial firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth for almost 20 years. In 2008, he left to become an independent barrister.
