Minter Ellison has advised a sugar subsidiary of agribusiness company Wilmar International Ltd. on its acquisition of a sugar mill in northern Queensland, Australia. The firm’s team was led by Sydney-based corporate partner Leigh Brown.

The buyer, Sucrogen Ltd., announced Friday it had agreed to pay $123 million for Proserpine Co-operative Sugar Milling Association Ltd. The deal is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.
