HCA Holdings, the nation’s largest hospital chain, announced this week that it would pay $1.45 billion to buy the remaining 40 percent of HCA-HealthOne that the company doesn’t already own.
Denver-based HealthOne is a joint venture between HCA and the Colorado Health Foundation. The HealthOne system has provided health care to Denver residents and individuals in surrounding communities through a network of seven hospitals, 13 ambulatory surgery centers, and 30 outpatient facilities. With roughly 3,000 physicians, HealthOne is the largest health care system in the Denver area.
