Mallesons Stephen Jaques is advising Sichuan Hanlong Group, one of China’s largest private investment companies, on a $1.5 billion bid to acquire Australian iron mining company Sundance Resources Ltd.

Sydney partner David Friedlander is leading Mallesons’ work on Hanlong’s all-cash tender offer. Clayton Utz partners Mark Paganin and Matthew Johnson, both based in that firm’s Perth office, are representing Sundance.
