Mayer Brown JSM and Reed Smith Richards Butler have advised on a $1 billion deal for the construction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers.
Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. and China Shipping Development Co. Ltd. have entered into a joint venture to buy four LNG carriers. State-owned Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group Co. Ltd. will build the vessels.
