Attorney STEVE KOROTASH is joining K&L Gates from the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as associate director of the Fort Worth regional office and supervised the SEC’s enforcement activities in the southwestern United States. He is headed to Dallas to be a partner in the firm’s government enforcement practice.

Prior to becoming associate director, Korotash served as chief trial attorney in the SEC’s Fort Worth office and as assistant chief litigation counsel in the SEC’s home office in Washington, D.C. He was also appointed as a special federal prosecutor in a number of securities fraud proceedings, and served as the congressional liaison for the nation’s U.S. attorneys.
