Hogan Lovells has recruited the former co-chair of Dorsey & Whitney‘s Asia practice to its Shanghai office.

Michael Chin, who joined Dorsey & Whitney from Jones Day in 2005, focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions. In 2008, he advised Chinese lighting manufacturer NVC Lighting Technology Corp. on a $37 million series B financing from Goldman Sachs. He has also previously acted on financings for venture capital firm DT Capital Partners, private equity company SAIF Partners China, and investment group Warburg Pincus.
