A former partner of K&L Gates’ Hong Kong office has admitted to taking money from client accounts to pay for his long-term gambling habit, Bloomberg reported on August 16.
The 44-year-old lawyer, Navin Kumar Aggarwal, has apologized and admitted to stealing K&L Gates clients’ money from escrow accounts to compensate gambling losses, according to the firm’s representing lawyer Victor Dawes.
