Australian firms Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Freehills and Minter Ellison have advised on a $28 billion deal by which a consortium of oil companies has agreed to finance an Australian liquefied natural gas project.

Chevron Corp., Royal Dutch Shell PLC, Apache Corp. and Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co. are sponsors of the Wheatstone LNG project in Western Australia. The project will consists of LNG processing and transport facilities.
