Baker & McKenzie and Clifford Chance have advised on a $2.6 billion issue of convertible bonds by Tokyo-based telecommunications company KDDI Corp.

The yen-denominated bonds, due 2015, are listed on the Singapore Exchange and are available to foreign institutional investors. The offering is the largest convertible bond issue globally this year, according to a Clifford Chance statement.
