A Hong Kong court has rejected an attempt by the territory’s police force to access legal advice that Mayer Brown JSM gave to a client, amid allegations that the company used the advice to commit fraud.
The firm had been named as the author of legal advice at the center of litigation between Hong Kong conglomerate Citic Pacific Ltd. and the government, reports Bloomberg.
