Palo Alto-based Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has hired a new partner for its China practice. Zhan Chen, a corporate lawyer, joins Wilson Sonsini from Davis Polk & Wardwell, where she was a Hong Kong-based counsel.
Chen will work primarily in Wilson Sonsini’s Shanghai office, but will also spend a significant amount of her time in the firm’s Hong Kong branch. The hire is a boost for the firm following the departure of two Shanghai-based partners–Eva Wang and Michelle Edwards–to Covington & Burling in February.
