Dechert entered the legal market in Almaty, Kazakhstan, by hiring 11 attorneys from Chadbourne & Parke, according to The Legal Intelligencer, a sibling publication.
The group’s client list includes Exxon Mobil, Shell, China National Petroleum Corp., and ConocoPhillips and will concentrate on transactional work. The team is led by partner KENNETH MACK, whose corporate practice focuses on energy and natural resources, telecommunications, capital markets, and bank and project financing throughout Central Asia and Russia. Partners VICTOR MOKROUSOV, SERGEI VATAEV, and MUKHIT YELEUOV will work alongside Mack in Almaty.
