Jones Days has announced the addition of five attorneys to its recently opened office in Düsseldorf, Germany: partner ULRICH BRAUER from Simmons & Simmons; partner KERSTIN MAST from Bird & Bird; and of counsel RALF RECKNAGEL from GSK. Brauer led the German corporate practice at Simmons & Simmons, where he focused on representing Japanese and Chinese clients in their German and European in-bound investment transactions. Mast has represented clients in international mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Recknagel’s corporate practice has included M&A transactions, private equity deals, and privitizations of public entities.

“We see tremendous opportunities in the region for sophisticated, global corporate counsel and are in contact with other well-known transactional lawyers from Düsseldorf whom we expect to join us soon,” said Ansgar Rempp, managing partner of the firm’s Düsseldorf office and coordinator of the German transactional practice, in a statement announcing the lateral additions.
