Mexican pharmaceutical company Genomma Lab has turned to Dewey & LeBoeuf for counsel on its unsolicited $834 million all-cash bid for personal care and home cleaning products company Prestige Brands.

Michael Fitzgerald, a member of Dewey’s executive committee and chair of the firm’s Latin American and corporate securities practice groups, is leading a team advising Mexico City-based Genomma that also includes Dewey vice chair and M&A cochair Morton Pierce and corporate partner Arturo Carrillo. Dewey’s Fitzgerald also serves as cochair of the firm’s corporate finance practice.
