A year after posting spectacular gains in revenue per lawyer and profits per partner, Kirkland & Ellis saw its growth level off in 2011, according to The American Lawyer’s reporting.
Thanks to higher rates and a 5 percent increase in lawyer head count, the firm’s gross revenue rose a healthy 8 percent to $1.75 billion last year. Its revenue per lawyer, on the other hand, rose just 3 percent after surging 21 percent in 2010.
