Proskauer Rose has asked a New York state court judge to dismiss entirely, with prejudice, a $10 million lawsuit brought against it by its former chief financial officer, who claims she was demoted and then fired after she returned to work following breast cancer treatment because of her age, her gender, and a supposed disability.
In the November 9 filing (PDF), Proskauer denies each of the claims lodged against it last month by former CFO Elly Rosenthal and asks the court to award attorneys’ fees and legal expenses incurred as a result of the suit. News of the Proskauer filing was first reported Monday by Bloomberg.
