The Second Mile, in the middle of the sexual abuse scandal roiling Penn State University, has hired a former Philadelphia district attorney to serve as its new outside general counsel, while an assistant coach on leave from the school has sought legal counsel of his own.

The Am Law Daily reported last week on the growing number of lawyers advising various clients caught up in the aftermath of the release of a graphic 23-page grand jury report charging former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky with 40 counts of sexual abuse and Penn State officials Tim Curley and Gary Schultz with covering up the alleged crimes.
