BAIRD FOGEL, the former general counsel of BP Solar, is now a partner in Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld’s San Francisco office. As a member of the firm’s finance and renewable energy practices, Fogel will have a wide-ranging practice focused on energy project development, construction, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other matters, with a special emphasis on solar energy projects.
Intellectual property lawyer CHRISTOPHER RECKAMP is now a partner at Baker & Daniels, which is set to merge in January with Faegre & Benson (the combined firm will be known as Faegre Baker Daniels). Reckamp, who is based in Chicago and arrives from Vedder Price, concentrates on patent-related matters, including opinions, licensing, and patent preparation and prosecution, as well as other intellectual property work.
