A leaked internal memo has revealed that Herbert Smith intends to reopen its New York office within the next 12 months, U.K. publication Legal Week reports.

Though Herbert Smith pulled out of Manhattan in the 1990s, senior partner Jonathan Scott told staff in the memo that the top 10 U.K. firm will launch a new New York City office focused on dispute resolution, including international arbitration and investigations.
