The firm represented U.S. Representative Spencer Bachus‚ a Republican congressman from Alabama who chairs the House Financial Services Committee‚ in an investigation by the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) into whether or not Bachus used his office for personal financial gain. The independent agency’s board voted unanimously in favor of dropping the case against Bachus‚ reports The Washington Post.
