A group of plaintiffs represented by Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles won’t be escaping federal jurisdiction over their claims that a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary sold them dangerously defective artificial hips.

Federal district court Judge David Katz, who’s overseeing a still-growing docket of hip replacement cases in federal multidistrict litigation in Toledo, Ohio, issued a series of orders on Tuesday denying motions by Beasley Allen to remand the cases to Alabama state court, ruling that they belong in the Ohio MDL.
