Several new office openings dotted the legal landscape this week. We previously reported on Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan launching a second German outpost, in Hamburg, with Allen & Overy hires.

Meanwhile, Texas-based McKool Smith, which often represents plaintiffs in patent cases in the Eastern District of Texas, has opened a Silicon Valley office, sibling publication The Recorder reports. McKool grabbed intellectual property litigator COURTLAND REICHMAN from King & Spalding to anchor the new Redwood City, California, location, along with King & Spalding attorneys JILL WASSERMAN as a principal and SARAH JORGENSEN as senior counsel.
