Allen & Overy has hired a top Department of Justice antitrust lawyer to bolster its international practice.

JOHN TERZAKEN left his job as director of criminal enforcement for the Justice Department’s antitrust division to become a partner in the firm’s global antitrust practice. Terzaken will be based in Allen & Overy’s Washington, D.C., office and will lead its cartel defense practice for the U.S. In the past, Terzaken has led a number of notable investigations for the federal government, including into LIBOR.
