The revolving door of lawyers entering and exiting the public sector typically spins faster during a presidential election year. This year is no different: The 2012 election touched off a flurry of activity within the legal industry. Here are the first of what promises to be many more moves of lawyers leaving government jobs for Am Law 100 firms, and vice versa. 

GLEN McGORTY
Old job: U.S. Department of Justice, assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York
New job: Crowell & Moring, white-collar partner
McGorty successfully prosecuted New York State Senator Carl Kruger for bribery and mail fraud in April.
