Revenue per lawyer notched up slightly in 2012, as Am Law 100 firms posted an average increase of 2.6 percent, compared to 1.9 percent in 2011. Sixty-nine firms reported RPL gains, compared to 74 in 2011. The number of firms with RPL of at least $1 million was flat, at 24.
Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton and Bracewell & Giuliani had the highest increases in RPL16.7 and 16.3 percent, respectively. Two other firms, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft and Cravath, Swaine & Moore, had increases greater than 10 percent. In 2011, seven firms had increases in RPL greater than 10 percent.
