Becoming the latest member of The Am Law 100 with Boston roots to shed a wealth management arm, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr sold its Silver Bridge Advisors unit on Tuesday to Florida’s Banyan Partners for an undisclosed sum.

The move comes some six months after Wilmer’s private client group decamped to Choate, Hall & Stewart, and a year to the day after Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo unloaded its financial advisory and wealth management affiliate to The Colony Group, according to our previous reports.
