Mayer Brown JSM has added a partner in Shanghai and a consultant in Beijing.
New partner Betty Tam is joining Mayer Brown’s Shanghai office from Herbert Smith Freehills, where she was also a partner. She focuses on foreign direct investment matters. In 2011, she advised French chemical producer Arkema on its acquisition of two Chinese companies for $365 million.
