The trial of Rengan Rajaratnam, the younger brother of convicted hedge fund manager Raj Rajaratnam, is due to start this week, Reuters reports.
Rengan Rajaratnam, a former portfolio manager at Raj Rajaratnam’s Galleon Group, is charged with making at least $800,000 by trading on illegal tips passed on to him by his brother and his brother’s acquaintances. Raj Rajaratnam was convicted for insider trading in 2011 and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
