The antivirus startup company Malwarebytes Corp. accepted $30 million in Series A funding from venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners to help expand its security technologies, Highland Capital Partners said Thursday.
Highland Capital first reached out to Malwarebytes Chief Executive Officer Marcin Kleczynski in February 2013 to discuss a potential investment, but he declined the offer at the time, The New York Times reports. But now it seems Kleczynski has had a change of heart.
