The hiring spree by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in New York continued last week as the Magic Circle firm raided two prominent Wall Street rivals for high-profile partners, although one of its former notable hires in the U.S. has quietly left for an in-house job at Chevron.

On Friday, The Am Law Daily broke the news of Freshfields’ raid on Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson for former firm leader and capital markets chair VALERIE FORD JACOB, who is poised to join the London-based legal giant along with partners MICHAEL LEVITT and PAUL TROPP.
