U.S. ex rel. O’Donnell v. Countrywide

In the largest settlement to date between the U.S. government and a single company, Bank of America Corporation announced on August 21 that it had reached a $16.7 billion deal to resolve civil and criminal claims over its marketing and sales of subprime residential mortgage-backed securities.
