After months of partner departures, Bingham McCutchen has dipped into the lateral market to make some hires of its own by bringing on two energy lawyers on opposite coasts.

Andrews Kurth energy partner RICHARD DROM in Washington, D.C., has joined Bingham McCutchen’s base in the Beltway. Drom, who joined Andrews Kurth from Powell Goldstein in 2008 prior to that firm’s merger with Bryan Cave, was on vacation Friday and thus unavailable for comment about his decision to join a firm that has had a turbulent past few months.
