After months of rumors, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom confirmed on Monday that it would leave its current New York headquarters at 4 Times Square and head to the city’s Hudson Yards district on the far west end of Manhattan in the spring of 2020.
The firm signed a letter of intent for a 20-year lease at 1 Manhattan West—a 67-story, 2 million-square-foot office tower under development by Brookfield Properties at 9th Avenue and 33rd Street, one block from Pennsylvania Station and part of the $20 billion Manhattan West development under construction near the old Pennsylvania Railroad yards.
