January might be the year’s busiest month for lateral movement, and O’Melveny & Myers isn’t immune to the annual partnership reshuffling going on throughout The Am Law 100.
Two months after losing a high-profile media and entertainment group to Latham & Watkins, two more top O’Melveny partners have left the firm. An O’Melveny spokeswoman confirmed the retirement of IP partner Kenneth Nissly in Silicon Valley, while London-based M&A partner Daniel Oates defected for Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson just a year after joining O’Melveny from Kirkland & Ellis.
