Davis Polk & Wardell doesn’t see much lateral movement, but corporate partner and former investment banker MISCHA TRAVERS in Silicon Valley recently left the firm to return to the business side.
Travers confirmed to The Am Law Daily in an email that he left Davis Polk’s office in Menlo Park, Calif., at year’s end to become a partner at derivatives trading shop the Cutler Group in San Francisco. Travers says his new role as an equity options trader will see him trade on the floor of the NYSE Arca options exchange. He’ll initially focus on trading merger arbitrage and “event-driven situations” but expects to quickly branch out into other areas.
