June employment figures from the U.S. Department of Labor released Friday showed the legal services industry gained 300 jobs last month, which is essentially flat growth.

Legal services employment added stood at a seasonally adjusted preliminary 1,122,200, up from 1,121,900 jobs in April. (The last two months of Bureau of Labor Statistics figures are always subject to revision.) For the 12 month-period ending in May 2015, the legal services industry gained about 3,400 jobs overall, which also is more or less flat, according to BLS. May marked the third consecutive month of gains, however. The legal services industry gained jobs every month in 2015 except for March.
