U.S. v. Rainey
Brian Heberlig and Reid Weingarten of Steptoe & Johnson LLP and Jones Walker’s Michael Magner won an acquittal June 5 for former BP executive David Rainey on charges that he lied to federal investigators about the rate of oil spilling from the Deepwater Horizon well after the 2010 explosion in the Gulf.
