A recent American Lawyer straw poll found that Africa and Latin America dominated managing partners’ wish lists for international expansion for their firms. DLA is to expand its footprint in Africa with the opening of offices in Morocco and South Africa, while Garrigues, the world’s 82nd-largest law firm by revenue, has continued to develop its presence in Latin America through a tie-up with Colombia’s De la Calle, Londoño, López y Posada (DLP).
