After a series of departures and an inability to find traction in the desert, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck has officially closed its Phoenix office, one the Denver-based firm opened in December 2010.
The Am Law Daily noted in early September a new firm being started by one of Brownstein Hyatt’s founding Phoenix partners, the same month that Brownstein Hyatt bolted on Reno, Nevada-based boutique Watson Rounds. JANNA DAY, named co-chair in May of Brownstein Hyatt’s government relations group and the managing partner of its Phoenix office, told the Arizona Capital Times in September that the firm would wind down its operations in the city after it was unable to build the local practice it wanted with a focus on natural resources and real estate law.
