The U.S. legal services sector gained 600 jobs in November, while the larger economy gained a robust 211,000 nonfarm payroll jobs, according to preliminary figures reported Friday by the U.S. Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. The nation’s overall unemployment rate held steady at about 5 percent.

Total legal services employment stood at 1,127,600 in November, up from 1,127,000 in October, based on preliminary, seasonally adjusted figures in the report.
