Greenberg Traurig partner JOSHUA WALKER, who this summer joined the firm’s offices in Silicon Valley and Austin, Texas, has left after five months for an in-house role.

Walker, the former head of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett’s IP transactional group in Palo Alto, California, left the latter for Greenberg Traurig in July, a move noted at the time by sibling publication The Recorder. At Simpson Thacher, Walker helped launch Stanford Law School’s Intellectual Property Clearinghouse and its litigation analytics spinoff Lex Machina, which was acquired by legal research giant LexNexis Group shortly before Thanksgiving.
