DLA Piper has strengthened its presence in the Nordic region by merging with Finnish firm Peltonen LMR and integrating its Swedish arm, DLA Nordic, the firm announced Monday.
DLA Nordic will now operate as DLA Piper Sweden and share all systems and processes with the global firm, although the practice will not integrate financially with DLA Piper. A spokeswoman for DLA said that the firm’s offices in Finland, Norway and Sweden form part of a separate verein—a holding structure that allows members to join forces yet retain their existing forms.
